This is it - My Blog Birthday!

Today HSFR is ONE! Happy Birthday to my Blog!

I never would have believed I'd make it through a full year of blogging that included two NaBloPoMo challenges. NaBloPoMo for the uninitiated is National Blog Posting Month wherein you register with them to take up the challenge to post every day for a month, either on a certain subject or not, your choice. Of course there were the other months that I posted much less often than everyday, like this month. But I also belong to BWO - Blogging Without Obligation - which takes the pressure off of keeping a blog. It offers much needed relief.

As I have (often, I'm afraid) said, I still don't feel like I have much to offer here, but several of you readers who comment, tell me that you enjoy my blathering. So blather on, I will.

Lynn came over today instead of yesterday, and we spent the time ... not getting much done! Go figure. When she called me the other day she was pretty stressed out about this impending move, then when she gets here, we get nothing accomplished! Well, not Nothing - we did go to Sears and return my Land's End things and to get vacuum cleaner bags, and we went out to dinner (for my birthday). Tomorrow I hope to pack up some books, if not upstairs, then in my room, so I can hopefully sell them at Crown Books. We also need to go to the grocery for a few things as she will be going to a BBQ with me on Saturday and we'll bring a fruit salad.

Turns out that she is able to store some of her things in Yakima, and some more of her things here in Tacoma at another friend's house. She wants things to be ready yesterday, then she gets here and sees that it's not going to happen like that. One thing, she is really understanding of my DH's ennui, and that helps. A lot. And she seems happy to be coming to live here - even if it means that it'll be awhile before she's settled in. At least, that's how she feels today.

So, I'll bitch at you all later, because it's almost 3 AM and I need to get some sleep in a real way.

Good Night, TTYL, and Be Well
