Now for the downside

It was cath change day today, which is usually no big deal. So, when am I going to learn to speak the hell up when something doesn't feel right? Like today, it didn't feel right when she (the nurse whose name I don't know) inserted the cath and was inflating the balloon, it felt cold. It usually feels like ... nothing. I did mention it, but she claimed to see return in the tube, which means  all is OK, so I didn't pursue it. But when I got to the car I kept feeling like I had to pee. That was my big clue that something was wrong , and I should have gone right back up to the office to figure it out. Or at the very least, to the bathroom to conduct my own personal inspection. As it is, it wasn't until we made it to Trader Joe's and I was getting out of the car that I realized that what I thought was happening, happened. I had wet my pants. It wasn't until I got home and was in the shower cleaning up that I felt the damned balloon outside my body. I know!...

Another Appointment...

... and she piles on more work! This time the exercises are for upper body strength, using a TheraBand. And she says she'll find more for me to do. BUT, I am to concentrate on the Roll for Control and walking every day for a (small) period of time, increasing each day by 5 seconds. If I'm having a bad day, I am to break up the walking into smaller walks that I can handle until I reach my current time. Then I can pick and choose from all the other exercises, doing 1-3 daily. So that's PT. I also got into the gym Monday, and worked out on a What'sitcalled thing. And as I was sitting moving my legs up and down, I glance out the window and what do I see? SNOW. Fortunately, or not, depending on your perspective, it didn't even think of sticking, but it sure was pretty. Today was cath change day. I walked in and out of the office and I am counting that as my walking for the day. It was longer than my target time amount of 30 seconds, but I wasn't keeping track. Tomorr...
