Christmas Eve 2012
Merry Christmas to all.
I have been awake since 1 AM, as I slept most of yesterday. I don't feel sleepy right now. I am having my second latte of the day, but no matter, I have been known to fall asleep while drinking one. I don't think I am very sensitive to caffeine. I will take a shower before bed, and try to get to sleep at a decent time this evening.
DH's alarm is going off right now. We'll see how long he sleeps in today. I jusst finished making cookies, but I need help getting them in and out of the oven without burning myself. Sitting in the walker puts me in an awkward position, so... I'll just wait for him to get up and awake before I (we) start baking them. He'll love me for it, I'm sure.
I'm listening to Pandora; I have a rotation of a variety of instrumental Christmas music playing quietly. We just got a phone call from my niece that DH's sister is in the hospital. She is the one with COPD and asthma. I guess we will be visiting her up at St. Joe's later. I know we won't be going to DH's brother's for dinner tonight. It's likely that we will be going to my cousin's for dinner tomorrow. It's also possible that we will have a partially white Christmas. Whoopee! So much good and bad in that paragraph. I guess that's the circle of life.
My MS seems to be giving me crap lately. I did manage to go to the Christmas dinner last Thursday. I made it up the three steps into the house with just a little difficulty.Tomorrow there are three steps also, but they are a bit steeper. I will put on my LiveStrong bracelet to channel some energy. Can't hurt, right?
I need to write a thank you card to my secret Santa for the lovely shawl and earrings she gave me. I also need to renew my Tracfone before the end of the month. And I just know there's something else I have to do but am forgetting. Well, it'll come to me.
Happy Holiday to you all,

Happy Holiday to you all,

Cookies, warm cookies, nice. I wish for you a Merry-MS-Easy Christmas and better health to your family. I kind of was hoping for snow here, no dice. :) Cute baby pic.
ReplyDeleteStill have some of the cookies. They're delicious, if I do say so myself. I like them better than my regular chocchip cookies, and they are easier to make!
DeleteGlad Christmas has come and gone, but it was a good one.
Merry Christmas to you and your DH! Love Frosty's baby pic tee hee.
ReplyDeleteJust a small family Christmas day planned here. My folks, KRP, and I will have the traditional gift opening later this morning and dinner. My mom is baking ham and the fixings - KRP made cookies to take over- they are super tasty. I know this because (shhh) I sneaked a few late last night.
Oh...cookies, yumm.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Webster.
Thanks Karen, and the cookies were yummy, indeed.
DeleteI hope you found some energy by now!!! and had a Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteI did have a good Christmas, but my energy seems to be waning. Alas.
Deletedid the bracelet work?
ReplyDeleteForgot to wear it, but only needed it to get up off the 'stool'. That was a nightmare, and for a false alarm at that.
DeleteYou made cookies? Yummy.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about DH's sister. My mom went to the hospital too, we took her to ER... and it is hard.
I'm calling the Neuro PA Tuesday and requesting a wait till March. =) After some researching I prefer the other oral drug with the ugly name. =) Happy New Year!
sorry you are feeling so crappy from Ms and your sister is so sick too. Happy New Year...maybe this year things will improve.
