DH helped
I want to set the record straight. After another discussion, DH said he would get the RTS ready for me to take to the dinner, and he did.
It turns out that neither my friend nor I needed to use it, but you know what I say about that - It's better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not have it.
I did feel much better just knowing that it was there. Thanks dear.
Oh, and I received a lovely aubergine cape (purple, to the plebeians) to wear, because my Secret Santa knows that I am ALWAYS cold. It's lovely. It's acrylic - but acrylic is warmer than cotton, and I am sensitive to wool. I also got some nice beaded earrings. And a glass hummingbird that's hanging in my kitchen window.
And tonight, though my computer says it's a chilly 32 degrees outside, our newly calibrated thermometer on the garage says it's a much chillier 23. BRRRRRRRRR.
Clear skies are to blame, but no snow like we had a few days ago (just a smidge - but a pretty smidge for we nightowls.
Good night, TTYL,

Good night, TTYL,

Ooooh snow. Magic.
ReplyDeleteHere is hot. Very hot and getting hotter.
Have a wonderful Christmas.
Being prepared is comforting to me...peace of mind if you know you have whatever.
ReplyDeleteI freeze all the time too til I have a hot flash:) lately
Oh, I despise color snobs. (Yeah, I said it.) My wife is one. If it ain't a color I learnt in kindergarden, all I hears is "blah, blah." I am HOT all the time. MS inflammation cooking my brains, my nerves, no butter. I wore, out of some perverted desire to "fit in," at my home's HAPPY HOUR (not)(happy)(they must have watered down the wine), a large, heavy, Christnas SWEATER, quite elaborate---a colorful picture of my home town Ft Wayne, IN., in 1957, year I was born. I'm thinking Ebay. It is covered in snowballs that you can feel, bumps--VERY IMPRESSIVE. No one said a word abt it and I melted at dinner. My MS was NOT pleased. HEY! Way to thank the old man...maybe he gets lucky tonight? TMI
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Eve...

"Auntie"
Thanks for dropping by and commenting. You know I live for your pithy comments.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of pith, Diane, are you referring to me as a color snob? It's not like the purple crayola, all right? it's deeper. KarenLee would agree with me that aubergine is a more accurate word for it. Or maybe she has an even better one,
Thanks for coming by Auntie! You are one who is about to fly the blogging coop, if I'm not mistaken. Why not just take a little break and come back as a weekly poster? Listen to me - the advocate of Blogging without Obligations, telling everyone No, don't quit! Heck. You do what you gotta do, mm'kay?
TEC- Yes, snow is magic. I love it, and hate not being able to get out and play in it anymore. But gee, it's better than what you're dealing with. 100 degrees is much worse.
Kim, I'd give anything for another hot flash. But those days are over. How's your cute little car managing in the Winter?
