jinxed !!
no sooner had i written that last post than i came down with a fever and a raging case of cellulitis. needless to say i was admitted into the hospital the monday before thanksgiving and stayed until the sunday after. i did however order a turkey dinner on thursday, and they served a special dessert! since i came home, i haven't heard from my caregiver... so i called the office and spoke with her supervisor. it turns out that she was clocking in and out all week! that's tantamount to fraud. don't know what'll happen to her. i have had two caregivers since. both i liked, but the first one lasted only one day, and the other hasn't had much experience. i'll give her a chance and we'll see what happens. good night, ttyl, and be well.
A perfectly reasonable, indeed the only reasonable response. Consider me flipping as well.
ReplyDeletePhotographer said to "pose." So I flipped the bird. LOL. I goes with my orange FYMS bracelet, which I wear next to my LivStrong bracelet. Both mottoes get me through the days (weeks, months, years...).
DeleteSo funny!! I caught the attempts at ASL "I love you" on Diane's blog, but I didn't know you were also giving one finger salutes!
ReplyDeletePeace,
Muff
Re: attempts as ASL - were our thumbs supposed to be showing? LOL
DeleteAs you can see, we were much better at the one finger salute.
Yall look happy!
ReplyDeleteWe were! It was a good day, and a good visit. I even got to meet KarenLee, and "the chef."
DeleteI think we were all smiling, though Diane has a goofy smirk on her face---that Diane! Yes, I was hoping for a straight from the gut, no thinking, pose. AS I recall, my exact words were, "Let's do something funny," YOU chose a bird, not us. I didn't know you guys were signing sweetness...better planning next time. hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteKim, I WAS very happy. WEbster and Gretchen are terrific people and I am proud to call them: Friends
Yes, the bird was my idea, as was the ASL love sign, which Gretchen copied from me, and you missed. Yes, better planning next time. This was near the end of our visit, when we were running out of time.
DeleteI thought it was all fun, except for the long drive, which I am happy to still be able to do... for now.
