Finally, some ZIA art!
My husband has been working all evening on getting the printer to work with my computer. He eventually figured out that the printer drivers were not installed when he switched over to Linux last Christmas. Remember that? Yes - a year+ ago. That was yesterday, and the issue is only partly corrected today. THEN we still have to go to office depot to get a new ink cartridge.
Anyway, I just tried scanning two of my larger ZIAs and was running into my usual cognitive can't figure anything out by myself frustration with the computer, so I pleaded with him to please come here and instruct me on how to resize the images, which he did. These are 9x12 pieces.
Without further ado I'll present two of them to you here. My favorite is the second one.
As for a Stone for today, let me think...
A cat on my lap
gives me as much peace as my
dog on his pillow.
This has been day two of working in the dining room. Of course, my schedule had me getting up after darkness fell, so the shades were drawn. And I have been freezing all evening. I'm going to have a cup of Mint Cocoa and go to bed before 4 AM.
Good Night, TTYL, and Be Well,

I love your artwork. Both are so intricate and gorgeous. And yes a cat on your lap is pretty special. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThese are talented, ZIA and stone both~
ReplyDeleteGreat tangles! Pleasant dreams.
ReplyDeleteWow! Incredible artwork. So, how does a ZIA differ from a Zen Tangle?
ReplyDeleteI like the first one a little bit better, but both of them are really nice. Fun to stare at and see all the little details.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. Comments appreciated!
ReplyDeleteZIA stands for Zentangle Inspired Art whereas a Zentangle is done on a 3 1/2" square tile.
I do both, but more ZIAs just because the tiles are expensive, and cutting my own is just a pain in the ass. I do trace them in my notebook, though and do them there. Doing it is very relaxing, and gives me another artistic outlet.
I love them! I fancy living in one of those ZIA houses. Just my style.
ReplyDeleteYou are very, very good! I just started tye-dye ZIAngling....hahaha, I don't know the terms to use!
Very good job! My favorite is the first one I think but I love the concept of the second one.
