Snowmageddon, snowpaloosa... whatever
Last time we got real snow like this we were living in Lacey. We were younger then and did what I WANT to do these days. Let me show you - This was February 17, 1990, and these photos exemplify the difference between DH and me.
Yes, those were the good old days. I had MS then for nine years, and was married for three years. I stood taller, and was strong enough to actually put the middle snowball on my snowman (though as I recall, it was no easy task).
Yep, those were the good old days.
Good night, TTYL, and Be Well,

Webster, those pix are hysterical!

How lovely. And what a brilliant memory to hug to yourself.
ReplyDeleteThere really hasn't been much snow here this winter, but we're expecting a few inches tomorrow ... Let it snow :)
ReplyDeleteI love those snow people. Must say I've liked the snow this go around, but havent gone anywhere. Hope alls well!
ReplyDeleteMuf - they do make me smile.
ReplyDeleteTEC - Just trying to keep in mind why I love the snow so much.
Joanne- They say all you need is a few inches.
Gretchen - I've like this snow, too, from the inside of the house.
Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment!
Love the pics! Snow is fun as long as I am just visiting it :)
ReplyDeleteOk I know I made a comment but it just went bye bye try again here if there are two opps
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! and I love the snow as long as I am just visiting it.
I don't love snow. But it's fun to look at photos from back when I DID love and enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, a few inches can make a great deal of difference.
:)
Jan, usually the snow just visits us and doesn't stick around. Not this time though. First it snowed, then it froze, then it finally rained. But in many places, it's still a mess because of the ice storm, and all of the downed tree branches and subsequent power outages. I'm fine here, but have friends who are without power, and probably will be for days to come.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I love it from INSIDE these days, because I can't walk in it, alas, so I get it. That's why I like these pictures so much.
hahahaha, I so relate. I am partnered with an artist and our art is quite, not the same. I still draw stick figures for people, in fact my house is EXACT same house I would draw as a 8 year old. My cats--one liners. I am IGNORANT about art, shapes and such. Your snowman looks better then any I ever made. But that other one...oo la la. Oh, the jokes I could make, but shan't.
ReplyDeleteGreat old photos! I do miss the snow (from when I lived in Minnesota) but NOT the ice storms (from when I lived in Oklahoma) Happy in the southern hemisphere now - sans snow! Welcome to my blog and thanks for following too!
ReplyDeleteGood ole days! So nice to see them
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to make a snowman. Yours was amazing. And the woman a masterpiece!! This year im Italy we're having very few snow but some earthquakes in the North. Ours is not a sismic zone, but the last two quakes were very strong......
