Day the Third
Mich@el Phelps, who has the tremendous lung capacity of an Olympic swimmer, has been outed for taking a hit from a bong at a party. He's 23 years old. Yeah, pot is illegal, but common, so really - what's all the fuss about? That he didn't leave any in the bowl?? I suggest to those of you who sit in judgment of him for this: find something else to bray about.
A week or so ago I ordered a polar fleece vest from Land's End on sale for $19.50. I got one in XL reg in Loden (green). The color was wrong for me, as was the size - so I reordered it in XL petite (an oxymoron if ever there was one) in Berry. It fits perfectly. It's roomy, toasty and comfortable. Now, I have to return the other vest to Sear's, and a sweater I got for Christmas that doesn't fit right back to Macy's. I think it's time to get a new bra, instead. The girls could use the support.
Good night, TTYL
Hi Webster--
ReplyDeleteI've seen your link on a few different blogs. Just thinking about the whole "Land's End" topic: I buy their stuff from Sears sometimes, but I have problems with their sizes because I'm just above the petite range: a hair over 5'3". Petites too short and regulars often too long. Weird. I have better luck myself with L.L.Bean clothes.
I refer to my size as FLP...FAT LADY PETITE! Because my legs are too short to fit my fat arse, so the "petite" in in the length, not the width.
ReplyDeletewhatever...LOL

Ladies, I feel your pain. I weigh in at 185 and am 5'4" on a good day. There. I've said it. Admitted on the internet what no woman I know owns up to - just how fat she is. Finding pants that fit - hurts. L.L.Bean's size chart leaves me smack between sizes, even more so than at Land's End. Bottom line is I have to try them on. The L.E. tees in regular fit just fine. They're a bit roomy, but that's a good thing!, so the length with the vest was an anomaly, besides I'm liking the Berry color better. Much better.
ReplyDeleteI have no problems with Land's End's regular jackets (don't know why..I have two of them actually.) Just the shirts. Never tried any of their pants. I stick to Levi's usually because they fit me like a glove.
ReplyDeleteHaha! What a funny conversation!....
