Yes, you read that right. I am taking the challenge, and what a challenge it will be for me. I doubt I have ever, in my entire life, done something (like a task or hobby or a diet) for 30 days straight.

So expect many terse entries.

Trick-or-Treaters lucked out in my neck of the woods last night, with no rain or wind. Tonight was a different matter indeed - raining hard enough at six PM to keep even the more stalwart ghouls inside. I remember going out a a kid, and it was so much fun. It was also a lot safer, or seemed so, back in the 1960's. Of course we went in groups of at least three, but sometimes as many as seven. That was when I was the littlest - four or five, when my older brothers would take me until I started complaining I was too cold or tired to continue. Then they brought me home, and went out again to homes that were bigger and had better candy, and were half a mile away on Highland Drive in Seattle.

My Beulah dog enjoyed a bark or two at everyone who came to the door, but she was good enough to stay in her place and not cause trouble. Her blindness, apparently, has its advantages.

Now, though, I am faced with the temptation of leftover candy.

Good Night, TTYL and Be Well
