So I'll see it on Wednesday. I hope.

Today was more productive than usual. I finally went to bed at 6 a.m.(after turning clocks back) and got up about 2:30 p.m. I got dressed, had a cup of coffee and a Baby Ruth, then at around 4 o'clock I set out to dodge raindrops and went to Great Harvest (where I was too late for the Pumpkin Swirl bread, so I bought chocolate chip cookies instead), then I went next door to Trader Joe's for four cans of coffee, some chips. olive oil and frozen dinners. From there I went to Fred Meyer for a gallon of milk, paper towels, carrots, sage, KC, and FN.

I didn't get home 'til seven, and my husband wondered what took me so long. "Is that all you did?" he asked accusingly. My Lord, when have I ever given him a reason to mistrust me? This was painful - to ask him, "Don't you trust me?" and hear him answer, "No."

After a short while I asked him if he wanted to talk about it, and I swear, fpr the first time ever so long, he sat down and we talked. He admits to fighting depression. He knows I am not very happy, and he doesn't blame ne - and wouldn't blame me for "looking elsewhere." But I reassured him that that wasn't going to happen. I took my vows seriously, and I know he is the right man for me.

Good Night, TTYL and Be Well

  1. I hope your hubby talks to his MD and gets something to help him with his depression. Is there a caregiver support group near you? The MS groups are great and if he'll go he will find a lot of support. He needs it just as much as you do. It's a great thing that he opened up to you! At least you already have your halloween shirt for next year! LOL

  2. Thanks Kimberly,
Unfortunately he isn't the support group type. He's a loner; a very private person, and an ACOA (adult child of alchoholics), and I think there is a family history of depression as well. This isn't about the MS, it's all about him.

That said, he has no insurance, therefore no doctor. And with all the returning vets from the Iraq war, I imagine the VA system is swamped. That was his source for antidepressants a number of years ago.

On a good note, things are much better after we talked. AND my T-shirt came today.
