Just a few things today
I saw my neurologist on Monday, feeling shitty and hoping for drugs to make me feel, well energized, for lack of a better word - but I struck out on that note. The 'roids are reserved for sudden onset symptoms, which mine aren't. However he did suggest I go back on my Zoloft and actually up the dose to 150mg. Well, nothing ventured I guess, so it's worth a try. Plus I'm to try something different in my routine so I don't miss so many shots, like perhaps giving them in the AM instead of at bedtime. I looked over my calendar and found I have been missing four to 11 shots a month! I know! I've been so bad. Just shoot me will you? At the end of the exam he always has us do the "25 foot walk" which he times. He told me I did it a full second faster than last March. Take that Usain Bolt!
I took my car in for its ($15) emissions inspection and ... IT PASSED! Yay car! Twenty years old and still running sorta okay. Now for the tabs it will be another $50 in October. Also in October homeowner's insurance ($167) is due; state and chapter ESA dues ($50) are past due, the newspaper ($28) is due, and early in November car insurance ($390) is due.
Also, our brown lab who is pushing 18 this year, has to be put down. He's miserable and in pain. But the Humane Society wants $95 (if you want to be present) - and I don't have $95 for that. So maybe we can come up with some clever and painless non disturbing application with ether or something. Or maybe we'll get lucky and he'll have another heart attack. But damn, he was such a good dog; very friendly and a great watch dog as well. It's just his time to go, that's all.
And that's all from me as well.
Good Night, TTYL and Be Well
I'm glad to hear that a car can last 20 years! I need mine to last a few more and it's 11.
