Here We Go Again
Today I actually finished all I set out to do: I got my cath changed, picked up my prescriptions, took a side trip to Dairy Queen unnecessarily, mailed my bills, went to Trader Joe's for coffee and chips, and returned/picked up books from the library.
When I went to the bathroom at the library I ran into a bit of "trouble." I could barely get up from the toilet. It took all my strength, but I finally managed to make it out to the car. Then I discovered I couldn't stand tall enough to get the walker into the back seat! Here I was in the parking lot behind the fire station and not a damn fireman in sight to help me. So I just sat awhile in the front seat for a rest.
I managed to get the deed done and I drove home. Now I'm in my garage, and at home where I typically use a forearm crutch to get around, but I couldn't get up out of the car! So I laid on the horn a few times to alert my husband - but he didn't hear me (we have a detached garage).
Finally I managed to get up and walked to the door and noticed that Radagast (our old brown dog) was out - a good thing because it meant Hubs was up and about - so I called his name (Hub, not the dog!) and he came to help me.
I came into the house and crashed in my chair. Now, one would hope that after a nap, all would be alright. Right? Isn't that how it's supposed to work? But Nooooo. I took my temp and it's normal. It could be a bladder infection I guess, but I've had those before with no symptom worsening. I seem to be having a sudden worsening of symptoms a week and two days after I see my neuro and all looks okay to him. If I feel this bad in the morning I'll have to call him and see if I can schedule a round of SoluMedrol. Oh happy, Oh joy.

Addendum: I just got up after writing this to put the dog out. Good thing - getting up was easier. Bad thing - I wet my pants without feeling a thing! So I do, in fact, have a bladder infection, and will take Macrodantin tonight and until the office calls to tell me to take something else. 'Effin MS!
Good night, TTYL, and Be Well
