Meet Romeo

Hi Everybody. I'm Romeo.
I have one blue eye and one brown eye, but with her phone camera, you can't see my brown eye. I look like a pirate. Ha Ha.
I'm a Huskador - That's what my new peoples call me.
I'm Half Husky and Half Labrador, and I like to chase balls.
It keeps me in really good shape.
(but I heard someone say I look like I'm a pit bull),
Actually, I only have about 1/8 pit bull in me.
I just came here today with these new peoples.
They even let me get up on their couch, which I like, because my other peoples let me sleep on the couch, and even in their bed every night.
I'm nervous at this new place.
I'm a little scared, too.
Everything is so quiet here.
In my other house there was noise ALL the TIME!
I had kids in my other house too, but not here.
There are kitties though.
One just sits on a chair and watches me, or naps.
There's another one who comes out from behind the sofa sometimes,
but goes away when he sees me.
I think he's scared of me.
I'm just scared . . . and I miss my peoples.
They have to move to California, and they can't take me or my best friend Juliet.
She's a Blue Pointer, but we got together when no one was watching, and now she's pregnant.
Other than that, she's a real sweetie pie, most of the time.
She bites dogs and cats that she doesn't know.
I think that's why she's not with me.
Poor Juliet. She was good, like I said, most of the time.
But she's going to go to a nice shelter.
Well, I really should get some sleep. I'm REALLY tired.
I've been walking or standing for hours.
Maybe I'll go lay down on my blanket when these peoples go to sleep.
Well, it looks like lights out around here, so
Good Night, TTYL and Be Well.

Dear Romeo,
ReplyDeleteYou are looking so cute!!
Once you get over being scared you will find yourself amongst some really nice folks.
Romeo,
ReplyDeleteMy brother is a dork and hit enter before he was done so now I get to say hello!
Couches allowed are a good thing! Your new peeps sound cool.
When I first came here to my new home I was scared and missed the kids. But now I am so happy and they make sure I have lots of toys and scooby snacks.
My humom even types out stuff for me on blogs - how cool is that?
Hope to hear more about you.
Annie
Welcome home, Romeo. You're a lucky pup. Your new people already love you. It will feel like home before you know it.
ReplyDeleteRomeo's gonna get a Juliet soon, LOL. He's too cute.
ReplyDeleteWebster - congrats on the new dog. I look forward to hearing from Romeo when he feels more at home!
ReplyDeleteHey catfish, You sound yummy! So far these peeps are alright. I don't know about the different noises around here though. [we live under the flight path to Ft.Lewis/
ReplyDeleteMcCord - the planes can be pretty loud sometimes. A new sound for Romeo.]
Hi Annie, apparently getting on the couch last night was just teasing me. I tried today was was told "NO, Your feet are dirty!" Well, I guess I was just outside. Maybe later. The alpha peep here is a hard ass; I can't get nothing by him. But he's real nice to me, AND he feeds me, so I'll deal.
Hey Zoomer, It doesn't feel like home just yet, but these peoples are okay. They're trying to learn my language!
Sherry, Do you really think so? I think Webster wants another dog, but I don't think she trusts me yet. I do miss my Juliet buddy, though.
Hi Cranky, it's me, Webster. That Romeo is a comment and 'puter hog, so I'm sure you'll hear bunches from him.
Hi Webster,
ReplyDeleteLovely post and dog.
Love,
Herrad
Oh Romeo, You look like a very sweet boy even if you did knock up your girlfriend ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you like your new home.
Cheers,
jj
That is one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen! LOL half husky, one Husky blue eye! Wow. Big change for him. You are kind to take him. He will be greatly loved. Yes, when I saw the picture I thought, "Hmmm, a dog with one eye." Too funny. Glad Romeo is so thoughtful as to post for you.
ReplyDeletePoor Juliet,
ReplyDeletewhy did you choose the easy dog?
My cat's name is Spackle, she doesn't speak English or write on the internet.
Okay, I/We didn't take Juliet because 1) she was pregnant, 2) We live in a very small house and I don't have any idea where we would put a 4x4 birthing box, 3) She had issues of violent tendencies, having to be introduced very gently to new pets - and we have three cats, and 4) She's a Blue Heeler and they tend to be high strung which is the last thing we need. So Juliet is going to a shelter where she can be cared for properly, and where they hopefully can place her Blue Heeler/Labrador/Husky/Pit Bull puppies quickly. I felt bad about it, but I'm not superwoman.
ReplyDeleteThat picture does look like he has only one eye, which is why I like it. Funny - shadow and light. Romeo IS a sweetie. He's also a rascal. He like to "counter graze" at night. He pulled down a bag of Cadbury eggs and brought them to his bed; he took down the butter dish, managed to remove the cover and ate a cube of butter, then the next night finding it empty, chewed on the lid. Etc.
Last night as soon as DH went to bed, he pushed the chair aside and went through the cat door, through the living room, and back to the bedroom door. For this he got reprimanded and sent back to bed where he stayed. Good Dog. He's a smart one, he is.
Webster,
ReplyDeleteI feel like such a crumb, my comment was thoughtless and I have no idea what was bothering me about your great adoption. I was way out of line, and I'm sorry.
<s>MS twisting my thoughts is no excuse, and a pretty feeble "reason." </s>

Lorraine, All is well, no offense taken, and no need to apologize. I liked Juliet; I wanted to take her too, but reality bites.
ReplyDeleteHi again,
ReplyDeleteI was up most of the night worrying about waterbugs (I had a Close Encounter yesterday), so I had plenty time for thinking about my temper tantrum.
First I thought, well, you've been jealous of anybody with a dog since the moment you noticed not having one, but that didn't fit the bill,
So I thought, Webster has a dog and somebody to SHARE it with, but still no "got it right buzzer,"
Eventually I realized I was jealous because you have a dog and a person to share with AND YOU'RE HAPPY!
Ding-ding, we have a winner (a loser who got the question?)
Thank you for sharing and also for being so gracious about my behavior!!!
(ewww, the triple punctuation of the internet gush-y girl, was that ME?)
(and now I forgot my Google password?)
Lorraine
PS,
do you sign petitions? I signed this one today; this web site is SO pet-friendly it may turn your stomach (I don't need a Designer Hobo Bag for my cat), but they have many good causes:
