Wobbly day


I'll just cut to the chase. I feel like crap today for some unknown reason. Oh, wait, I DO know. I have MS. I was just getting used to the idea that the Solumedrol helped, then I wake up to this ... weakness. Oh well, tomorrow had better be a better day because I have things to do: lunch with the girls at El Toro followed by a trip to Trader Joe's for, you guessed it, COFFEE. We're almost out, which can only inspire this reaction:

Weather got up to a balmy 71F. today, not that I bore witness to it. Nope, went to bed at 8 AM and got up at 4 PM. I actually kicked the cats out of my room last night and slept pretty well. Maybe that's what's wrong with me.

I've finished my blogroll, and yesterday's paper. I still have two sections of Friday's paper and then there's today's. I have minutes from the Thursday to type up, and a couple forms to fill out. I have a tribute to write about our current president, who also has MS. I have a stack of magazines to go through and decide which to recycle and which to put in my next doctor's office. Oh hell - I'll just recycle them all - screw it. That's how I remain a packrat - having best intentions to do the better thing, then never doing it and things pile up. And pile up. And pile up.

I don't know when my friend is going to find a day to come over to help me with my bedroom, but I know she's busy and don't want to pressure her. So, I'll wait awhile before calling.

I need a tutorial on how to use my new cell phone. I'm such a dunce I can't figure it out - still.
But I will. Eventually.

OH - What's this I hear about "them", whoever they are, wanting to get rid of the font Comic Sans? There was a feature on Yahoo home page about it today. I'm going on the record: I LOVE COMIC SANS. It's my favorite font. And no, I don't love comic books.

    I'll be a rebel. I hate Comic Sans. That is because I used to do invitations in our retail store. Here we had, over ten THOUSAND fonts that we downloaded, paid for and were absolutely beautiful...and customers wanted COMIC SANS for their bridal showers, birth announcements, and some....*gag* for their wedding invitations. As a pro at printing (they said) I found it crazy they would pick that one. There. I said it. *LOL*

    Doh! Having never had optic neuritis, I just thought the blurring in the picture was from my meth use!!!

    What the hell is Comic Sans? Without Comic? A funny beach? Gawd, I have no base knowledge...

no sooner had i written that last post than i came  down with a  fever and a raging case of cellulitis. needless to say i was admitted into the hospital the monday before thanksgiving and stayed until  the sunday  after. i did however order a turkey dinner on thursday, and they served a special dessert! since i came home, i haven't heard from my caregiver... so i called the office and spoke with her supervisor. it turns out that she was clocking  in and out all week! that's tantamount to fraud. don't know what'll happen to her. i have had two caregivers since. both i liked, but the first one lasted only one day, and the other hasn't had much experience. i'll give her a chance and we'll see what happens. good night, ttyl, and be well.

My MS Update 2017

I entered last year celebrating by watching 'new year at the needle' fireworks display (The Seattle Space Needle) on a hospital TV.  I was in there from 12/27/16 to 1/3/17 with, I believe, cellulitis and a bladder infection.  I have been in the hospital several times since then, 5/19 to 5/22  with cellulitis. I didn't have any cuts so it must have been a cat claw poke or a bug bite... any break in the skin will do for those of us who are immuno-compromised. August brought me in hospital from 8.19  to 8/25 with the perfect trifecta -  cellulitis, vaginal and bladder infections. So, how am I doing? you might ask. Well,  36 years with MS and this is my current condition. From head to toe, here goes nothing. if you are newly diagnosed let me tell you here that mine is not a typical case, but still, you may want to stop reading now. head - intermittent memory lapses; I thank the heavens for post-it notes, I have three on my laptop now reminding me...

my back yard pt. 2

well. there's a new addition to the pet cemetery. last  week we lost Rajah, brother to nishita and punima who died in 2o18. he's buried adjacent to them. when dh was digging the grave, he found  a large skull of a dog (not ours), so he had to put a little more space than we would have preferred between the cats. i  imagine in thirty years or so, whoever buys the house and digs up the yard will be quite surprised. good night, ttyl, and be well in this year of COVID-19
