Making Plans

Why is it that these days, if I am to go anywhere, I have to think of my day and plan it out in detail? Tomorrow, I am finally meeting up with my sorority sister to get that cell phone I was talking about. I also have to buy the rolls for Easter dinner, deposit a couple of checks, buy cat food - obviously I need to make a list. Sigh. Nothing stays in my brain anymore.

Saturday I am going to Seattle, as I said, and will be having dim sum somewhere, before going to the W.L. Asian Museum family room dedication ceremony. I know that my sister-in-law will appreciate that I made the effort to be present. She has been so helpful to me in the past, I can't imagine blowing this off. I'm a little pissed at DH for showing no interest, but he has redeemed himself. You see, my back tires were bald. Nearly shiny bald, and he worries about me and my safety, so he took care of that by getting two new tires yesterday, and having them rotated and balanced and all that so the car will be safe for freeway driving. Yay, new tires.

I have to decide what to wear tomorrow, and Saturday, and Easter. I hate this because I am always cold. Is that an MS thing? Do any of you have this problem? If so, tell me. Sometimes I think I'm going nuts. Tomorrow I won't need to dress too warmly, but Saturday I'll be both inside and outside a bit. Sunday - my cousin's house is always freezing. OK, to be honest she keeps her thermostat at 62, but that's freezing to me - so I know to wear lots of layers.

I'm also going to have the time to have a good talk with my friend. I know she'll do whatever she can to help me clear out my horrible mess of a room. Once that's done I need to have DH clean, as in deep clean, it and prepare to paint it - whether it's "ready" for paint or not. Then I will get my new mattress and bedspread from IKEA, and change beds. This will take some time, but I'm nothing if not patient. MS has taught me that.

Good Night, TTYL and Be Well

  1. Seattle on the weekend, eh? Should I alert any particular police precinct?!? LOL

I'm quite certain I have missed many important details here over the past month...hopefully I can now keep up at a better pace...or die trying. :-)

  2. I hope you have a safe trip to Seattle. I don't know about the "always cold" bit. My body temp seems to fluctuate quickly which can be rather annoying. Sounds fun to be getting a new bed AND a freshly painted room. Very nice.

  3. Linda - don't you dare try so hard to keep up that you die - snot worth it! As for which precinct - I'd alert the International District. When my friend and I get together, who knows what will happen!

Lisa - I look forward to my hot flashes! I wish I had more of them - but alas they only occur when I stay up late at night. @ AM warm surges. Love 'em.

  4. Yes I am cold most of the time so I try to wear more layers. I thought the heat was bad but now the cold seems to be the same but different.
