Cold Olympic smoothies

Sorry to be complaining again, but after all, that's one of the things I do best, but for August it's effin' cold today; Perhaps I should say I'm COLD today. I know, I know - it sucks to be me. Fortunately, tomorrow and Saturday are forecast to be warmer, so the patio will be calling to me.

I've been watching the Olympics every day; is it my crummy memory or are there many more top contenders in the events this year? It just seems that the winners' times are better (or worse) by tenths, or in two cases a hundredth (Phelps, Torres), of seconds. Kudos to all the Olympians - swimmers, gymnasts, beach volleyball players, runners.... I admire your ability, your strength, your tenacity, and your work ethic. You have been a joy to watch and I share in your triumph.

My schedule was doing better, but the past two days I've been slipping back into old habits instead of attempting to get and stay on track with establishing a regular schedule. I'm going to blame the Olympics for the slump because I'm behind in my reading too.

Yesterday instead of making a smoothie, I had a bowl of vanilla yogurt with strawberries, and it seemed like a lot of food. Today I made a smoothie with 1 banana, about 1/4 cup sliced strawberries, the same of OJ, and ice cubes; it was much more food than what I ate yesterday but it seemed like less food, not more! I don't get that - it's a mystery.

Goodnight, TTYL, and Be well.
