This and That, Unedited, For Your Delight
I actually woke up at 8 AM and go out og bed. My firs instinct was to just roll over, curl up into a comforable position and fall back to sleep, bit I knew I has my requisite eight hours, abd more than that if you count a little dozing last evening. This was after being up for 30 hours sraight! I woke at six PM Wednwsday and stayed up until nearly two AM Friday! Friday morning I awoke a 10 AM, but didn't get out if bed intil 11:30. Then last night, I went to bed at 1:15 AM and got up this morning at 8! I have had wo cups of coffee and my eyelids are getting a little heavy and it's only quarter to five PM. I guess I can call this Day TWO of a diurnal life.
I have yet ti mail my baby blankets and caps. I will finish wrapping he boxes today - taping them shut, and addressing them - so DH and I can take them to the PO Monday and ship them off. I will be happy to have that task done. I also have several Land's End returns o make at Sears, because one big box and four shoe boxes are taking up space on the loveseat and it looks really messy. That should happen Monday, too, I think.
Just when I think the asshat on the motorscooter that sounds like a Might Mosquito has "left the neighborhood", here he comes again. Zooming by at the oddest hours: Six AM on a weekday, nine AM on a weekend, eight-thirty PM on a weeknight (and never during a commercial). I had a dream of standing on our porch and beckoning him over so I coulld give him a nice grandmotherly piece og my mind the other night.
Yesterday it was warm, about 72oF, and I was squirting the hose at Romeo. He thought it was the. best. game. ever.!!! At first, I would start the stream just below his feet then raise it so it would go across the yard. He sould run after it ant leap in the air to bite the stream. I had him running and leaping and going in cirlcles until he was so tired he pretty much stopped the leaping, then stopped the running, then stopped the buting at the stream. It took about half an hour to tire the fellow out! I have never had a dog like to play in the water like that ever. He was having so mcuh fun! After he shook off outside (many times), and got toweled off, he came in all content and tired and sacked out at my feet. Happy dog tired.
I have two movies from Netflix that have been sitting here for two weeks, now, and I am going to watch them today and tomorrow, so they can go out in the mail on Monday. I don't even know what is next in my queue. Neflix is always a surprise!
Now I am going to write out checks and pay my bills, so they will all get mailed Monday as well. and after that, I am going to finish unraveling a gold top, to get more yarn for embellishment, I used the other for a beanie I just finiisjed. Not my colors, Light tellow and dark gold with just a light yellow roll-up brim, but it's cute, and someone with different coloring than mine might like it better.
It has cooled off here for the weekend - Seafair weekend! The hydroplane races are today and tomorrow on Lake Washington, featuring the Navy planes the Blue Angels. Unfortunately, they won't be able to fly their hight scrobatics as the cloud cover it about 1200-1500 feet. They do a good low show, but it is much louder as the bounces down off of the clouds. The audience had better dress warmly, as it is only 64oF today. That's uncomfortably cold when you are sitting by the water, or on a
boat.
Hydroplane races and SeaFair was always a big deal when I wasa kid. All of my neighborhood buddies wh=ould make out little wooden hyfroplanes and put a long string on them and take them up to the neighborhood wading pool and have them go round and round. Or we would just do the dame thing on the playfield, or in hte street. Whatever. It didn't matter. We were kids. And it was fun. I think of kids today, and suppose they would think it was the lamest way to while away an afternoon. Not exciting enough. Oh well. Life ws so much simpler then, in the early 1960's.
Well, that;s all the unedited bits and pieces I have for you today. I am not even going back to read what I wrote, and see how messy it rutned out!

Well, that;s all the unedited bits and pieces I have for you today. I am not even going back to read what I wrote, and see how messy it rutned out!
Good Night, TYL and Be Well,

It turned out just fine. Somebody jumped on me yesterday for a typo, hell with em, I can't always edit, read it or not, whatever and I expect my peeps to be smart enough to figure it out. It is sad to me how kids today take little pleasure in the simple things, but they follow their parents on this note. AH! You have a service dog!!
ReplyDeleteLove your bits and pieces...I do go back to sleep and then feel bad
ReplyDeletekim
This entry wasn't as bad as many I have typed. I agree, Diane, Read it or not. Typos are nothing to get upset over, IMO.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, Kim. Wanted to fall back to sleep this morning, but decided that nine hours really was enough!
Ok unedited I spent the weelend up at Shasta Lake Basss fishing.
ReplyDeleteGot up at 4:30am so and went fishing. It was super hot on the boat by 10am Io should have said yes when friend asked if I wanted to go in yet. LOl I made it to about 11:30 then I could not function so in we went.
Later Sunday went after driving home went out to the Sutter By Pass and Catfised till midnight.
Then I slept from 2 am till 10 am then again from 1pm till 8pm then I went to bed at 11 pm Monday and slept till 9am today. It is Tuesday right? LOL
Blankets and caps done woo hoo!
So, Jan? Did you catch anything? Any big mouth bass or catfish? What did you get for your efforts, besides sunburn and fatigue?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a good time, and a jump in the lake was necessary! Post pics! Did Catfish and Annie go swimming, too? And is Lake Shasta as low as it used to be?
Oh, BTW, that (and this) anonymous comment was/is from Webster. Darned Blogger!

ReplyDeleteOh how I understand your recent sleep pattern. I tell you what - a good nap can make me or break me. It takes a while to get back to the normal routine sometimes, but sometimes it is just what the doctor ordered. I dream of 64 degrees. At least it is a little cooler here today. The high is only supposed to be 92 and it is partly cloudy. I think I am going to enjoy some good old outdoors because it gives us a break from 98. Hope you are well rested and jumping right out of bed mornings now! Enjoy your weekend!
