Hot, hot, hot

I should have gotten out of bed when I first woke up, but I didn't. I let myself roll over to get one more hour, and slept like the dead for four! Biorhythms are once again playing with me. I did have five good diurnal days. Now I have to start all over. DH isn't helping any, either; getting dinner much too late makes me want to stay up even later. It is a vicious cycle.

I think I was killed off in Diane's murder mystery The Mystery of the Blotted Out Blogger; in episode one, no less. Why meeeee???  What did I do to be the first one to go? . . .  But killed by whom? I have no issues with anyone (that I am aware of, anyway). It must be one of those Right Coast  Bloggers who traipsed through Seattle a short while ago. Hmmmm.  I guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out who would hit me with a blunt object - and leave a mark (I know!), on my otherwise unblemished person.  BTW, Diane, did you know that the county morgue used to be on top of QA Hill? LOL Now it is at Harborview. Anyway.

It was a very warm day in Tacoma today. A record breaking 94'! Needless to say, I did not go outside. I did notice that there was a nice warm breeze outside. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm, and Monday too. Then it will cool off, and by next weekend we'll be  back in the 60s. High 60s, but still the 60s. Our weathermen are notorious for being unable to predict out that far, so we'll see. I have a BBQ to go to next Saturday. I need to know what to put in the laundry!

Maybe I will put on my cooling vest and go out tomorrow.  It's just like this one, only without the collar. Once it's cinched up, I hardly notice how heavy the ice packs are. Doesn't this woman look like she's just been made up by a mortician? She seems a little plastic to me. In any case. It's cooling vest weather, is what I'm saying.

Now I can't think anymore. So I am going to say...

Good Night, TTYL and Be Well.

  1. That picture may be priceless. I was telling my friends about these vests and they all thought I was joking...maybe I'll show them this picture because its definitely a instant product seller :)

  2. I agree Steph - a real product seller! Actually I didn't realize how apt my metaphor was - like she was made up by a mortician! Those bodies are kept COOL, right? Hahahaha

  3. Hi Webster,
Think our summer is over here, much rain and yesterday noticably cooler.
    Hope I am wrong.

  6. The heat used to bother me so much, now, not so bad. My apt. is cool and of course the bldg is A/C. When it hit 105 last Summer, I just opened the hall door and put big fan there. Now, Webby, are you 100% sure that YOU were that victim? Ok, yes, it was you. I wonder WHY? Well, and just because you were the first FOUND in Seattle, doesn't mean you were the first. A morgue, eh? Near where I live now? Hmmm Yes, who WOULD want you dead? And what would make such an impression? Those vests have been around for at least 20 years. I almost bought one in 1990. Cheaper to stuff cold packs under my clothes.
