While I am  glad that I got this lovely new chair, it is not without its problems, the latest being the back seat cushion. Basically parts of it are a piece of shit  cheaply made product. I have had it for, what?, four  weeks,  and the back cushion which is attached by velcro strips slips down so that the bottom of it is behind the seat rather than above it. That means that the lumbar support, which is also attached with velcro is not supporting my low back.

Any other options that were available weren't presented to me because it was being paid for by Medicare and Medicaid, and therefore not covered. Oh well, it is what it is: too big for my house, and too cheaply made. All the money went into the technology for the tilt and recline functions, which are pretty darned cool. I can take a comfortable nap in this thing.

Well, the hot hot weather that was predicted turned out to be just cloudy and hot weather, and perfect for the family BBQ/Picnic that I had arranged for last Sunday.  We had it at Spanaway Lake Park and I think it was just perfect.   Everyone who was there seemed to think so also, but I suppose no one  would say otherwise, would they?  I just got several people coming up to me and thanking me for organizing it, and that's never happened before. It's going to cool down into the 70s starting  tomorrow. Lately that's been long sleeve weather for me. Oh well, I can always put on a light sweater if need be.

  1. Welcome back!! So sorry your chair isn't all you had hoped for. I think many products today lack the quality that our country was once known for. (Ugh!! Two sentences ending in prepositions!) Don't be a stranger, now, and write about what's happening in your life. BTW, that reunion must have been fun!

  2. I remember that lake. Went there a couple of times even though it was not close to where I lived. My Mom had a friend that lived near it.

Sorry to hear that you chair has problems.

And, what is this this weather ?

  3. These chairs can be so aggravating when they keep messing up. Medicare is charged a ton of money but hard to get the little things fixed. Glad you got something that may aide you somewhat

  4. I'm sorry the chair isn't everything you hoped. It's too big for your house? That sucks.

Although it's nice you can nap and relax in it. Do you know someone who can modify the back cushion for you? Maybe someone who sews and can figure out a different way to attach the velcro?

I am glad to see you posting again, though. ;)

  5. How nice to have your organisations skills recognised - and appreciated.
The tilt and recline feature sounds wonderful - the anti-social escaping cushion and support less so. I hope a solution can be found.
