Sunny, and still cool, but with things to look forward to.
Well, I gotta say, I am so jealous of people who are warm blooded, because feeling cold all the time sure sucks. I guess that's why I like to stay snuggled under my comforter in the mornings. Lately, however, I am making a valiant effort to turn around my internal clock. Doesn't much help with staying warm, though, but Summer is slowly creeping our way, and it's predicted to be a good one. But right now, and for the forseeable future it's all partly cloudy, rainy, or with showers and temps in the low-mid 50s, dropping to 41 at night. We had the WETTEST March on record. Very little snow pack in the mountains until February when it came down in droves - warning off water rationing this Summer. Considering what kind of Winter much of the country has had to put up with I don't know what I'm complaining about. Perhaps it's just how I feel these days. Uncomfortable, and a little out of control.
As you may have noticed, I screwed up my template and I just don't have the patience to try to figure out what I did wrong, or even what to do to fix it. SO, it will just have to stay messed up for now.
I have gone to see my PCP and had her do the "face-to-face" for the new chair. We had to cut our appointment short, but she is just going to fill our her form based on what Kim, the PT, said on hers, so all should mesh well. That was, I don't know, a little more than two weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I am getting so tired of all this delay -- but what can I do? THEN, I have to see what my co-pay ends up being. That's what concerns me the most. It's likely to be thousands of dollars. It will take more time to apply for financial assistance for that. I'll consider myself lucky if I get the chair before Summer!
UPDATE: I heard today that the paperwork was sent on to my insurance, and they're just waiting to hear from them. Progress. I also asked for an invoice so I will have the correct number to beg for so I can pay the co-pay.

I have had a lousy week. I have been on Flagyl for a bacterial infection, and for some reason this time it messed with my gastrointestinal tract. Basically I have had the runs twice, and I don't do well with the runs - if you get my meaning. Not a pretty picture. Fortunately I will be done with them tomorrow. Only two more pills to take.
I hope you had a Happy Easter!! We did nothing to celebrate this year. Not a thing, which is not like us. My cousin isn't doing family dinners anymore; it has just gotten too difficult for her to do all the prep getting her house ready for company; so those days are now gone.

My brother who lives in Japan is coming this Summer for two+ weeks, so I have taken on the planning to have it in a more central area. SO, we're going to have the family BBQ at Spanaway Lake under one of their shelters. The lake is pretty, and they have rowboats and paddle boats to rent for a small fee, a field and a playground for the little ones, so with a little organization it should be fun. I also allows for cousins who live in Ocean Shores to make the trip as it is only half the distance for them this way.
Did you know that ALL of out city and county parks have a fee of anywhere from $75 - $200 to rent one of those covered BBQ areas? Or even the parks that don't have one - if you want to use it you have to pay up front and reserve it. Anyway, I'll have to make sure that those who have propane grills bring them, and that we have enough meat and buns and condiments and etc. but I'll deal with all of that later. I have time; it's not until July 13.
That's all for now.
Good Night, TTYL and Be Well,

I really thought you'd be in your new chair by now! Hope it won't be much longer. Even though it's almost three months away, I'd still reserve a pavilion now. You never know, and it would be sad if you couldn't get one. Good luck with the planning!
ReplyDeleteNo, no chair yet, but the paperwork has been sent in to the insurance. Yes I have already reserved a spot at the park. I hear they start to go fast, but it's been so wet and cool I think people are waiting to finalize their Summer plans - especially since there are no refunds!
DeleteI hope that chair arrives soon - and that the co-pay isn't ruinous.
ReplyDeleteA mid-way meeting point for your brother's visit is a wonderful idea. Have a heap of fun - and don't organise yourself into the ground.
I agree that meeting mid way was the best way to go. Unfortunately, that left the planning to me because my other two brothers have other things to worry about. It's okay, I will delegate, and hopefully potluck will take care of the rest.
DeleteFamily gatherings can be fun, unless relatives ruin it?
ReplyDeleteI agree, but since there's no drinking at the park it will at least be kept to a minimum, and that should prevent any "issues." LOL
