Progress Report on Quantum Edge (and I won a giveaway!)

Well, I finally got some information from both the vendor and my PT eval. I was sent the 12  page review that must be submitted to the insurance company. Now all they need is another signature from my PCP in order to submit it to the insurance company. This won't take long as they wrote it   all out for her and all she has to do is sign it and fave her nurse fax it over. Easy Peasy. Progress indeed.

I must say, I have progressed significantly in the last six months. I have been giving myself the Copaxone shots, but they don't seem to be effective at warding off even little relapses, those are the ones that I don't realize I am having until I start to recover from them. What an odd disease this is. The good thing is I see my neurologist later this month, and we can discuss what to do next. Thus far I  have nixed Tysabri and Gilenya due to their rather negative side effects, with little promise of improvement. What else it there? I haven't been keeping up on the news on the drug front.

Please send all of your positive energy and prayers to United Healthcare on my behalf so they will hurry with an approval for my new wheelchair. Thanks ever so much.

Good Night, TTYL and Be Well,

P.S.  Now for the fun part of this entry!
I won a giveaway of two art journaling books that I have wanted!!!

The first is No Excuses Art Journaling by Gina Rossi Armfield

and the other is Quotes Illustrated by Lesley Riley (www.LesleyRiley.com)

I thank the Random Number generator for picking #35! I received these lovely books (valued at nearly $50) in the mail and I imagine they will serve as inspiration for quite some time. Thank you to Lesley Riley for offering the giveaway.

  1. Awesome news on the chair, I hope that things happen quickly!

And you won a giveaway! I enter a few and I almost never win anything, but I won the lovely ebook recently from Helen at A Little Lime. It's a lovely zentangle thing... I want to get back into the drawing, I haven't done it as much lately.

  2. I'll be praying that you get that chair! I gave up all MS drugs. I'm looking toward stem cell treatments as an answer, but I want to learn more.
    Congrats on being a winner!

  3. Ami, I haven't been doing much drawing lately either. Perhaps I am waiting for the weather to warm me up!

Muffie, Thanks for the prayers. Stem cells may be the ticket to our freedom, but it's not without serious risk. It's nice to win prizes; always a surprise.

Karen, this was a cool win indeed. They're both lovely books.

Thanks for your comments. Keep warm everyone!

  4. Glad for your book win. Sorry about your MS progression - it seems to have no favorites lately, giving generously to everyone just like the weather. Spring will come, hope your chair does too.

  5. Congrats on your win - cool journal! I have a friend with MS, I'll ask them if they have anything on the new front.
