This new Blogger interface, well...

I know I am not the first one to mention this, but I really don't like the "new" Blogger interface. I have gone through it, and I changed my background to one more seasonal, and it was a pain in the ass. Just enough different to make it a frustrating experience for me. Oh well, it's done for now.

I just started watching the series "Switched at Birth" which airs on the Family Channel, though I am streaming it on TUBE+. I went back to start with episode one, and I have to say that I am enjoying it. I  know, I watch too much TV - but since I got these no-line bifocals I find that reading gives me a headache. Between dog and husband it seems they are always needing to be readjusted, and it's not getting done. So I end up watching TV or listening to books or NPR streams instead. When I am listening, I do Zentangle at the same time; that, or play computer games. I lead such an exciting life.

I made a salad and it turned out pretty well. Broccoli, Cauliflower, sweet onion, Craisins and Cashews with a yogurt/mayo, sugar and vinegar dressing. Yummy! So now I'm thinking it's time to find a bran muffin recipe. One that uses All-Bran cereal, because that is what I have.

That's it for now. I am going to try to write more frequently, but to do that I had better start taking notes, 'cuz I can't remember what happened to write about. Oh yeah, need to go buy cat food. Had to mix in some dog kibble, and I'm afraid the cats are going to start barking at me.

    Love the fall background! Sorry the new interface gives you problems. I, also, watch too much TV, but I still read a lot, so I try to rationalize it. The salad sounds yummy. Cats barking, [chuckle!]

    i haven't watched it but i have seen previews for Switched at Birth...they look pretty good.

    i am looking forward to Lost Resort and Homeland.

    have you watched Heartland? the family that owns a horse boarding/training business for troubled horses? it's pretty good

    funny how dogs LOVE cat food but cats generally don't even want to consider eating dog food...

    No arguements about the new interface from here. I know that Blogger says it is better, but I can't see how. And my life is ticking away on the dull side - and I think that is good. Trips to hospital are never dull... New MS manifestations are not dull either. Dull is great.

    You have more guts than I. Blogger has me lost. And trying to comment on other blogs is so time consuming. NO ROBOT could read, oh wait that's the idea, *I* can't read the crap they put down, no real words...ugh. Blogs used to be simple and fun. Hey, I get ideas for a blog post about 2AM, by 4AM it is lost.

    I have not checked out the blogger interface in a while sounds like it is not moving toward accessibility but away from it? Not a good move google!

    Moving to a more doable interface (I favor wordpress) is a pain because you have to learn a new system but since it is open source and free you might try playing with it and find out if it is doable for you. You can import you blogger to it I believe.

    KRP forgot to pick up the dog food and we had a night of half dog food and the rest rice and scrambled eggs. No cat food though . ...

no sooner had i written that last post than i came  down with a  fever and a raging case of cellulitis. needless to say i was admitted into the hospital the monday before thanksgiving and stayed until  the sunday  after. i did however order a turkey dinner on thursday, and they served a special dessert! since i came home, i haven't heard from my caregiver... so i called the office and spoke with her supervisor. it turns out that she was clocking  in and out all week! that's tantamount to fraud. don't know what'll happen to her. i have had two caregivers since. both i liked, but the first one lasted only one day, and the other hasn't had much experience. i'll give her a chance and we'll see what happens. good night, ttyl, and be well.

My MS Update 2017

I entered last year celebrating by watching 'new year at the needle' fireworks display (The Seattle Space Needle) on a hospital TV.  I was in there from 12/27/16 to 1/3/17 with, I believe, cellulitis and a bladder infection.  I have been in the hospital several times since then, 5/19 to 5/22  with cellulitis. I didn't have any cuts so it must have been a cat claw poke or a bug bite... any break in the skin will do for those of us who are immuno-compromised. August brought me in hospital from 8.19  to 8/25 with the perfect trifecta -  cellulitis, vaginal and bladder infections. So, how am I doing? you might ask. Well,  36 years with MS and this is my current condition. From head to toe, here goes nothing. if you are newly diagnosed let me tell you here that mine is not a typical case, but still, you may want to stop reading now. head - intermittent memory lapses; I thank the heavens for post-it notes, I have three on my laptop now reminding me...

my back yard pt. 2

well. there's a new addition to the pet cemetery. last  week we lost Rajah, brother to nishita and punima who died in 2o18. he's buried adjacent to them. when dh was digging the grave, he found  a large skull of a dog (not ours), so he had to put a little more space than we would have preferred between the cats. i  imagine in thirty years or so, whoever buys the house and digs up the yard will be quite surprised. good night, ttyl, and be well in this year of COVID-19
