Before I rant, first things first: Happy Easter almost everybody.

May the bunny in your basket be chocolate and leave some jelly beans for you to enjoy.
Also, for those who celebrate: Happy Passover! Sorry, no pic.
The "common" cold is a miserable thing, and I have had it now for nine days and counting. I have gone through many tissues and done several nasal washes. In a word, I feel like shit.
It got to my DH first, and two weeks ago when I was getting IVSM, and therefore immuno-suppressed, he lavished me with those loving little kisses as I told him to get his germy self away from me. Two days after I was done with infusions, and actually feeling better, I got a mild sore throat. "Crap," I thought, because every bad cold I have had has started with a sore throat. Every one.
I haven't been sick with a cold in years. That's YEARS, people. And I never get the flu either. So I am thinking that this really sucks. Yeah, feeling a bitsy better as the days go by, but since the weather in these parts will NOT WARM UP (eff you Mother Nature, I love you, but I'm seriously tired of this weather), I can't go outside to sit in a little sun even. I'd be happy to bundle up with my MP3 player and a
So well, in fact, it is first on my list of questions when I meet my new Primary Care Physician next week. My first order of business is my (lack of) sleep schedule. So I am keeping a record for two weeks to show her how crazy it is. Then I want to find out why I am so friggin' cold all the time. And it's not MS cold. I have had that, and this is different. (Probably why I like to stay under the comforter. And NO, I am not going to break down and buy a Snuggy, as has been suggested to me. I will not. They are ugly, and I would probably trip and fall over it and then how would I feel? Cozy on the floor? No thanks - not my style.
Oh dear, how did it get to be 3 AM? Reading blogs tales time. So, I need to go to bed, make a list for a short trip to the store tomorrow (after deciding what to bring, because it's not polite to arrive for dinner empty handed), put on that list to call in some Rx's to be filled, and I guess that's it. But first - an Alka Seltzer Plus. So I can breathe ... at least for four hours.
Good Night, TTYL, and Be Well,

Webster, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Colds can really exhaust you, and there's not much you can do about them. Wish I could fly you here where the weather is beautiful and you could get some sunshine! Take care and Happy Easter.
ReplyDeletePeace,

Oh, I do 3am well, but not colds. Meaning I don't get them either, usually. I hope you did go for the WR. ~Mary
ReplyDeleteopps ..stopped by from Word Salad.
ReplyDeleteI hope your sniffer clears up soon and you find out why you're freezing your noonies off.
ReplyDeleteI've been cold lately, but I know why. Because I am a weather weenie, that's why.
Feel good soon!!!!
Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteColds make a person feel vile out of proportion to the illness. You are almost certainly not go to die from a cold. Just the same a good/bad juicy cold does make a person feel like death.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you feel better soon. (and Happy Easter.)
Webster - hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. Hope the warm weather gets to you soon. I'm hoping for that here for us, too. It's been quite chilly lately.
ReplyDeleteI have not had a cold in a while (knock on wood). I hope you get over it soon. I seem to maintain a strange sleep here - more like the lack of . ... while I so do not like the heat I am getting real tired of always being chilled. It used to not bother me but this year - ah err. Feel better soon!
