Another Enigma, Another Award

Today I received the Prolific Blogger Award from Karen over at "Meandering ...One moment please."




Thank you so very much for this, Karen. But I know that the only reason I got this is because I admitted that I will fart out loud if I need to, and I got her to own up to that as well. Still. I'm honored.

As with almost all blog awards, this one comes with rules:  Link it to the person who gave it to you. Check; Link it to the person who originated it and that would be Hazra at "Advanced Booking." Check; Pass it on to seven more prolific bloggers, but Karen (another one who likes to color outside the lines) gave permission to opt out of this one, but today, I think I won't do that.  So I choose to pass this on to, in no particular order, these people whom I read religiously, but without piety. 

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading these folks, please stop by and pay them a visit. It won't be a waste of your time. Most of them are more prolific and articulate than I am - and are better at catching typos!

Now I guess I need to write a few E-mails so these folks can come over and pick up their trophy.

    Thanks! now the problem is to find 7 peeps to send it on to that have not already been awarded LOL almost everyone's blog I read has already been given the award :(

    LOL, I am deeply offended that I was on your short list. NOT. Awards are fun, and when I started blogging I thought, "Will I ever get one?" But then I got too many and I feel embarrassed and having to choose just a few...stressful. Now I pass out awards when I think of it and encourage others to skip me. I am a blogger and if you read me and enjoy, that is enough for me. Selfishly, I sometimes see an award that looks so cool--I covet it. And that's just wrong. I have had my graphic designer partner make a few for me to pass out--that was tre fun. Let's face it: we are all pretty dang terrific to have MS and blog at all. Terrific to take the time to expose our feelings and beliefs to THE WORLD! I do like to read reviews of other blogs I don't know about...hey, just got a new post! PS--I think farting didn't play a role in your award. But then....

no sooner had i written that last post than i came  down with a  fever and a raging case of cellulitis. needless to say i was admitted into the hospital the monday before thanksgiving and stayed until  the sunday  after. i did however order a turkey dinner on thursday, and they served a special dessert! since i came home, i haven't heard from my caregiver... so i called the office and spoke with her supervisor. it turns out that she was clocking  in and out all week! that's tantamount to fraud. don't know what'll happen to her. i have had two caregivers since. both i liked, but the first one lasted only one day, and the other hasn't had much experience. i'll give her a chance and we'll see what happens. good night, ttyl, and be well.

My MS Update 2017

I entered last year celebrating by watching 'new year at the needle' fireworks display (The Seattle Space Needle) on a hospital TV.  I was in there from 12/27/16 to 1/3/17 with, I believe, cellulitis and a bladder infection.  I have been in the hospital several times since then, 5/19 to 5/22  with cellulitis. I didn't have any cuts so it must have been a cat claw poke or a bug bite... any break in the skin will do for those of us who are immuno-compromised. August brought me in hospital from 8.19  to 8/25 with the perfect trifecta -  cellulitis, vaginal and bladder infections. So, how am I doing? you might ask. Well,  36 years with MS and this is my current condition. From head to toe, here goes nothing. if you are newly diagnosed let me tell you here that mine is not a typical case, but still, you may want to stop reading now. head - intermittent memory lapses; I thank the heavens for post-it notes, I have three on my laptop now reminding me...

my back yard pt. 2

well. there's a new addition to the pet cemetery. last  week we lost Rajah, brother to nishita and punima who died in 2o18. he's buried adjacent to them. when dh was digging the grave, he found  a large skull of a dog (not ours), so he had to put a little more space than we would have preferred between the cats. i  imagine in thirty years or so, whoever buys the house and digs up the yard will be quite surprised. good night, ttyl, and be well in this year of COVID-19
