It was Sweatshirt Weather for the BBQ

I don't know where the underline came from, and I don't know how to get rid of it - It was not my doing. I am not trying to be as emphatic as all that!

So, I told you about the mm. spasms I was having last Wednesday, but guess what? I had them again Thursday, and Friday, and oh yes, on Saturday too! Always in the late evening when I want to tilt back and relax. Let me tell you a secret nobody knows - MS sux.

Sunday was the family BBQ at my cousins' at Ocean Shores. Well, not at their house, but at a park two blocks away from it. I opted
not to take the W/C, and it was just as well because I would not have been able to propel myself around on the lumpy grassy grounds of the park. It was enough just to deal with the walker. I had plenty of offers of help, but really, what could anyone have done to make it easier for me? Nothing.

I swung a bit on the swing set there and was surprised at how
dizzy it made me feel. What a wimp I've become! I felt like I was stoned Speaking of which, my brother gave me a joint. I know! Quel surprise! But who knows when I'll ever smoke it!

The park we were at was
the Bell Ellis Community Center Park in Ocean Shores by Duck Lake. Cousin's grandson caught a trout just before we all packed up to leave, so apparently the lake was stocked when it was made. How nice to be able to walk two blocks from your home to the "ole fishin' hole" and come back with dinner.

Before we left, I had my cousin drive to the ocean beach so I could hear the ocean roar and see the waves. It was lovely. Something I will never tire of.

The BBQ was fine. I was disappointed at how few people ended up coming. I'm thinking the price had something to do with that, and perhaps a lack of communication. Several people who made it all the way to Birch Bay last year weren't there, and distance wasn't the issue as it was closer. Course, gas costs more this year, too.

It's been cold this week. Sunday, I was layered to the hilt in a l/s thermacheckTM tee, a s/s tee, a l/s fleece top, and eventually a cotton sweater! over cords, socks and tennis shoes. And I still could have used a a parka. What we needed was a fire in the big fireplace, but no one thought to bring wood; And don't I just know that if a fire was built all the adults would have gathered around, admiring and appreciating its warmth. Everyone was chilled, just no one was complaining about it but me.

Note to self: Buy a heavyweight hoody sweatshirt before Fall sets in.

Good Night, TTYL, and Be Well.
